If you don’t build up a pad site than it is very important that your ground is level. Most issues we come across when installing buildings for customers is an unlevel site. It is best to use a string line level or laser level prior to us arriving to ensure you site is level.
If you are unable to do so, we can likely make it work installing “as is” but generally there are some tradeoffs. Starting with a bad unlevel foundation creates many problems. On non-level ground, doors may not function correctly, the frame may need to be blocked in the air off the ground. This is often not as sound or aesthetically pleasing as your metal building being installed on a level ground. Also, there is no labor warranty on this type of install. The materials all still carry their warranty but we cannot guarantee your satisfaction.
Another major disadvantage of having an unlevel site is that it may not be possible for our installers to build at the time. If this is the case, they will have to leave, and your installation must be rescheduled. Not only will you lose time, but you will also lose money because you will have to pay for a return installation trip because of the inconvenience to our crew. You will be expected to have your site leveled by the rescheduled date.
We stress these points a lot because non-level site are the biggest cause to most customer satisfaction issues.
